UK fuel prices hit new record high

Both diesel and petrol prices have reached new record highs in the past few weeks. With analysts predicting a further rise in oil prices as Iran's decision to halt oil exports to the EU sinks in and turmoil in the Middle East continues, campaign groups and motoring organisations are pressuring the government to ease its tax on fuel, which makes up more than half the price paid at the fuel pumps.
