Reported death tolls in Syria - are they accurate?

As the conflict in Syria intensifies conflicting? numbers are being reported on the death toll and casualties. But amid the chaos it's difficult to get a clear picture of what's really going on there. This begs the question: "just how accurate are these numbers?" The British-based Syrian observatory of Human Rights is one of the most widely-quoted sources of the figures. But the group is now experiencing an ownership row, which has left media outlets wondering how reliable the source is. RT's Ivor Bennet filed the report
