Al-Qaeda the real enemy?


This item confirms for me something that has been evident - that is that the United States, which has been for the last decade ostensibly fighting a “War on Terror” against a mythical organisation called al-Qaeda.
Now the United States and other Sunni Arab nations are backing these very forces they have been ostensibly fighting against to bring down another secular, Arab nationalist regime.
It is clear that the reason behind this is to use this as a step to destroy Iran.
I’m also not convinced that ultimately the real enemy might not actually be Russia and Chins - the United States’s rival in the fight for dwindling resources.

The Arab League is mulling over what further action to take on the crisis in Syria, with reports of escalating violence. Meanwhile, the head of the group's observer mission has resigned - just as a proposal is being considered to again send monitors from the League and the UN to the country. Political analyst Dr Adel Samara says the U.S. and Al-Qaeda have similar goals in Syria.
