Pepe Escobar: In 2012 US engages in new Cold War

Iran has fired a test missile today in the Strait of Hormuz. This continues to add strain to the relationship between Iran and the US. 

A few months ago the International Atomic Energy Agency accused Iran of gathering materials to build a nuclear warhead. In retaliation the US has implemented sanctions against Iran and many claim a war against the two countries is brewing. 

Pepe Escobar, a correspondent for Asia Times, joins us to see what the new year will bring.
